He Is Risen Indeed!
Every Resurrection morning we have a traditional breakfast and this year was just the same: bagels with cream cheese and salmon (pepper is mighty yummy with it), pineapple, coconut, orange juice and...
Elliot being quite the hambone!
Several years ago we made a banner that measures a grand 11' long and covers from the Last Supper to the Resurrection. Now we put it up in the hallway every year. It is wonderful for keeping our minds focused on the true meaning of this celebration!
The Last Supper. We wrote little tags with some of Jesus' words and some wonderful verses, putting them over the appropriate event.
The Crucifixion. We older ones all contributed to drawing the illustrations for the banner.
And the Resurrection! He Is Risen Indeed!
Well, we usually take a family picture every Easter but this one was done on the spur of the moment. And no, this was not taken at our house, we took it at church. (On the couch from left to right: Christianna, Timothy holding Benaiah, Arianne holding Tobias and Gabrielle. In front: Jedidiah and Elliot.)
Would you like to read a story that Timothy wrote that focuses on the true purpose of this celebration? You can read it here.
