I have been wanting to learn how to cut hair professionally. About a month ago I had a friend cut mine and I got to watch her cut someone else's hair. My older sister finally consented to let me try it out on her hair.

I remember watching the hair stylist closely when I was a teen to see how it was done. I then went on to cut my family's hair as well. That saved us a pretty penny :-) With the exception of a couple of haircuts, due to little children finding scissors...all of our clan has had their hair cut by me. Granted it wasn't difficult, with long hair to cut straight across and some bangs. This time around, needing to go with short hair (see my blog to find out why..yuck), I made sure to pay *real* close attention to how the stylist cut my hair. I learned some new things :-) I have to say I don't think they turned out too bad. And YOU did a *wonderful* job!!! Bravo to you both for having the courage for an adventure! You gained some wonderful new skills and she gained a wonderful new do. If we are in need of another hair cut in the future I will have to give you a call.
